For each of the apparatus you perform a 1-1½ minute routine made up by you and your coach. You do the routines to instrumental music because you are not allowed to have words in the music. In the routines you do leaps, balances, pivots, flexibilities, throws and handling of the equipment.
For International levels you have to do a trial each year and at the trial you are judged and they determine if you can make it into the International Squad.
